About

This is the personal blog of Evan Owens, a web and mobile software developer and all-around startupy-type guy living in Natick, Massachusetts.

I began this site after realizing that my ability to slog through the daily technical grind was increasingly reliant on blogospheric heroics from fellow engineers all over the world. This is an attempt to give back. The vast majority of posts are about technical problems and, occasionally, solutions.

Some may be interested that, between 1995 and 2005, I lived in a rural region of southern Japan and then in various parts of Tokyo.

I returned to the US in 2006. This blog has evolved to include thoughts on the confluence of technology with our brave new world.
